Married to Linda Lemoine McPherson for 51 years, married June 6, 1964 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Lake Charles, Louisiana. Four Children - Melinda Peterson (Forest Lake, Minnesota); Carl McPherson III (Temecula, California); Ginny McPherson (West Lafayette, Indiana); Betty Achey (Logansport, Indiana). Nine grand children. Two brothers and one sister: Charles McPherson (Marco Island, Florida), Tom McPherson (Logansport, Indiana) Patricia Bendict (Logansport, Indiana).
