Dave Kitchell - D

Why are you running for office? I'm running for office because in my heart of hearts, I really know this is the most important city election in my lifetime and my background has prepared me for this opportunity at this point in my life. The next mayor has to be someone who has a grasp of not only what the functions of all city boards and commissions are, but what the mayor's job is and how it is perceived not only within city government, but within the community and around the state. The mayor is the point contact for the community and has to be the good shepherd for the entire community, its infrastructure and its other priorities. Personal income, public safety, fighting drug abuse and addiction, a stable housing market that breeds stronger neighborhoods and quality of life factors that ensure Logansport will be an attractive place to live in the 21st century will be my priorities if I'm fortunate enough to be elected.
