Teresa Popejoy – R

Why are you running for office? This would be my second term. I am just beginning to feel as if I understand the many facets of City government and how it works and would like to continue growing my knowledge so I can make the best decision for the City of Logansport in the short, and long, term.

First and foremost I would like to see a return to a cooperative community where the City, County, Economic Development, and other groups work together. I believe this is essential to growth within our community and economic well being.

There are several additional issues I would like to see come to fruition - ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (new business, growth and retention of existing), Stellar Grant or any other grant that will provide dollars to the community for improvement at less cost to the City taxpayers, continued improvement of our community through blight elimination and renovation of existing properties, the power plant issue resolved, redevelopment or development of the Mall area or any other area within the City with new retail business available, development of middle class level housing and/or rental property, additional senior housing, continued upgrading of our Parks and development of the trail system.
